Introducing the highest gain mini guitar amp on the market. More gain, slightly more volume and distortion than the polycarbonate Smokey® amp. Available in a virtually indestructible translucent polycarbonate box, the Supro® high-gain Mini Amp will also power any 4, 8 or 16 Ohm speaker cabinet, including a 4x12, and can even be used on the input of another amp as a fuzz box. Nine volt battery included. (Zinky)

This review is from: Supro High Gain Zinky Smokey Mini Guitar Amplifier I didn't really expect a lot, but it was cheap, so I decided to give it a shot. I love this thing! It's tiny, yet has a really nice, full sound. I wrap a velcro cable tie around it and attach it to my guitar strap so that I can play while walking around the house. In many ways, it's the perfect practice amp. It's loud enough, but won't bother the neighbors. Another useful thing: Using an adapter (1/4" to mini plug), I can use this as a speaker for my mp3 player. I use it for that purpose almost as often as I use it for a guitar amp. I recommend this highly! 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By This review is from: Supro High Gain Zinky Smokey Mini Guitar Amplifier First time I saw one of this amps I was kinda sceptical beacuse of its pocket size. Most mini amps sound like s-h-i-t but this one is differente. It really has a high gain and volume with definition, not mosquito sounding. I can even play death metal on it! Pros: Portable, great sound, external amp out, 9V, cheap. Cons: No EQ, no volume knob. (I don't see the point but this is an objetive review) So, for me it's a great choice, I can play my guitar everywhere, and I don't have to transport my heavy tube amp to do it. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: ![]() Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Supro High Gain Zinky Smokey Mini Guitar Amplifier This has good sound and power for it's size. However, with a few improvements, it could be a really good product. A clip would be the first thing I would add. I added one myself ([...]). This would allow you to clip it to your guitar strap. A headphone jack would be cool too. It does have an output, so with an adapter you can use headphones. A clean switch would be great too. The one negative I found is that the battery is hard to change (dis assembly required). Supposed to have a long battery life though so I guess that's not a major issue. |
